Realme has today announced the availability of its latest smartphone, the realme 9i, in Kenya. The realme 9i is available in Kenya starting from Ksh 21,999 on Jumia among other retailers.

The realme 9i comes with a number of updated features including adaptive refresh rate, faster charging, Snapdragon 680 processor etc. This one of the first smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor. The other one is the Redmi Note 11 series that was launched in Kenya last week.

Realme has launched the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage. This is the one available for Ksh 22,999. At this price, it does compete well with the Redmi Note 11 which is one of its main competitors.

“The Kenyan market has seen a tremendous growth of demand for high quality mobile phones in terms of technology and performance that are pocket friendly. Therefore we are always keen on providing Kenyan users with our latest technologies, giving them the opportunity to experience the next level of power with the realme 9 series,” said Mildred Agoya, PR and Marketing Manager, realme Kenya.

“We bring a leap forward experience to our consumers with the next level powerful phone starting from the processor, to the battery, the tech and the delicate design,” she added.

    Realme 9i Specifications

The realme 9i has a 6.6-inch display with an adaptive refresh rate. With this, the phone will change the refresh rate up to 90Hz depending on the content being displayed. Not that many smartphones within this price range have adaptive refresh rate so this is commendable for realme to implement that.

As mentioned above, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor that has been paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone runs on Android 11 with realme UI 2.0.

For the camera, the realme 9i has a triple camera setup at the back made up of a 50MP main sensor, 2MP portrait camera and a 2MP macro lens. A 16MP lens sits at the front for all your selfies.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging over USB Type-C.

    Realme 9I Pricing in Kenya

The realme 9i will retail at Ksh22,999 and Ksh.21,999 for the 6+128GB and the 4+128GB respectively. The phone will be available in all local offline and online stores.
