ASUS last week announced Zenbook 14X OLED (UX5400), a premium 14-inch thin and light laptop with a 16:10 aspect-ratio design that gives it an entirely new look and feel.

Zenbook 14X OLED features an ultra-bright up to 4K OLED HDR NanoEdge display that delivers exceptionally realistic visuals with deep blacks and a 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio. It’s PANTONE Validated for industry-standard color accuracy, has a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 gamut for ultra-vivid colors, and is TÜV-certified for low blue-light levels. The new 16:10 aspect ratio with its 92% screen-to-body ratio gives an expanded visual workspace, reducing the need for scrolling.

The powerful up to 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor is enhanced with ASUS Intelligent Performance Technology (AIPT) for sustained maximum performance, and the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete GPU delivers fast graphics performance. Intel WiFi 6 connectivity is enhanced with ASUS WiFi Master Premium technology, which includes ASUS WiFi Stabilizer for reduced interference and ASUS WiFi SmartConnect for seamless connections.

Zenbook 14X OLED has an all-new slim design, but the 16.9 mm thin chassis retains a full complement of I/O ports for comprehensive on-the-go connectivity, including a USB Type-A port, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a standard HDMI® port, a microSD card slot, and an audio jack.  Zenbook 14X OLED is also built to last, and passes the ultra-demanding MIL-STD-810H U.S. military standard for reliability and durability.

For an exceptional user experience, Zenbook 14X OLED features many thoughtful design details, including the fingerprint sensor on the power button for fast login, and the innovative ASUS ScreenPad for efficient workflows.

    True-to-life visuals

The 14-inch Zenbook 14X OLED has up to a 4K OLED HDR four-sided NanoEdge display. This gorgeous slim-bezel display brings everything to life, with a 16:10 aspect ratio that provides an 18%-bigger visual workspace than a standard 16:9 display. The taller screen also lets the user see more of a website or document without having to scroll up or down, making it perfect for reading, writing or coding.

The display has a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and is PANTONE Validated for ultra-vivid, ultra-accurate colors. OLED technology ensures true blacks with up to a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio for enhanced realism, and for outstanding eye care the display is also TÜV-certified for low blue-light emissions.

    Superb performance

Powered by up to the latest 11th Generation Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, up to 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics, Zenbook 14X OLED gives all the all-round performance needed for smooth multitasking and effortless productivity. With up to an ultrafast 1 TB PCIe® 3.0 x4 M.2 SSD and gigabit-class Intel WiFi 6 (802.11ax) users won’t be waiting for apps or websites to load, either.

Despite its slim 16.9 mm chassis, Zenbook 14X OLED provides all the I/O ports needed for on-the-go peripheral connections, including a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a standard HDMI port, a microSD card slot, and an audio jack.

ASUS Intelligent Performance Technology (AIPT) is an ultra-efficient thermal design and power-saving solution. It uses ASUS exclusive algorithms combined with between five and nine smart sensors, an aerodynamic IceBlades fan design and a 100-watt power supply to intelligently increase CPU performance with improved stability, while allowing all-day battery life and a quieter and cooler laptop. With ASUS Intelligent Performance Technology, the laptop can run in high-performance status for as long needed. There are three user-selectable modes: Performance Mode maximizes performance and thermal parameters for heavy workloads; Balanced Mode intelligently optimizes performance, thermal, and power parameters for everyday tasks; and Whisper Mode provides cool and quiet power-saving operation. Using ASUS Intelligent Performance Technology in Performance mode, Zenbook 14X OLED can enjoy a performance boost of up to 70% compared to an ordinary laptop.

    Exceptional user experience

The user experience on Zenbook 14X OLED has been made even better with some thoughtful design features. The precision-engineered, lay-flat 180° ErgoLift hinge tilts the rear of the laptop slightly when opened to make typing more comfortable. It also makes it easy to share content with others, or collaborate with a group of people around a table.

ASUS ScreenPad upgrades the traditional laptop experience, adding an interactive secondary touchscreen built into the touchpad that enhances productivity with more possibilities. Its intuitive smartphone-like ScreenXpert 2 multi-screen organizer app lets users easily manage tasks and create their own seamless multitasking workflow, and allows seamless interactions between the display, ScreenPad and any connected displays.

Zenbook 14X OLED also has a fingerprint sensor conveniently located on the power button for easy and secure one-touch login with Windows Hello.
