Infinix is expanding its Hot 10 series in Kenya which already has a handful of devices. The company has announced the availability of the Infinix Hot 10i that is available is stores starting from Ksh 11,500. You can get the phone from Jumia and Infinix branded outlets across the country.

As I have mentioned, the Infinix Hot 10 series already has a number of other devices which we have reviewed not so long ago. The most recent one that we reviewed was the Infinix Hot 10T which is just good, nothing exciting about it.

With the Infinix Hot 10i, I don’t expect any massive upgrades as devices in the same series tend to share a lot and have very tiny differences. This is not a bad thing actually as it provides users with different options that suit their budget.

The Infinix Hot 10i comes with a 6.52 inch display with a resolution of 720 X 1640 pixels. This is not that impressive for a smartphone in 2021 but we may forgive Infinix considering the price this phone is retailing at. Powering this phone is the MediaTek G25 processor that the company has paired with 2GB of RAM and either 32 or 64 GB of internal storage space.

The Hot 10i comes with Android 11 out of the box with Infinix’s own custom UI XOS 7.5. Performance should be good but don’t expect anything out of the ordinary.

As for the cameras, the Infinix Hot 10i comes with a dual setup at the back. This is made up of a 13MP main sensor paired with a QVGA sensor. For selfies we do have an 8MP sensor that offers average camera performance from the few minutes I have spent with this phone.

One of the impressive aspects of this phone has to be the battery. It comes with a 6,000 mAh unit which is slightly bigger that what we had on the Hot 10T. The 6,000 mAh battery easily lasts the whole day and even longer when I am not actively on my phone. This is the battery to get if you want a reliable phone for day to day use and are not willing to charge it all the time.

Infinix Hot 10i Price in Kenya and availability

As I have mentioned above, the Infinix Hot 10i is available in Kenya for Ksh 11,500. You can get the phone from Jumia as well as Infinix branded retail shops across the country.

I am working on a review of this phone that should be up later this week.
