The Rafiki by Securex home security system is a relatively affordable home security solution that was launched in Kenya a few months back. This is a DIY home security system that can be installed by an average person and does not require heavy tools to do so. It is a product of Securex, a company that has been offering security solutions for over 50 years.

Rafiki by Securex kit comes with a few products that will help you get started in minutes. All you need is a Wi-Fi connection and follow the installation instructions included in the package.

You get the following with the kit:

    • PIR Motion Detector
    • A pair of Wireless Magnetic Sensors
    • Remote Control

How to Buy Rafiki By Securex Home Security System

    1. Buy the Kit: To get started, you will have to buy the home security kit up front. This kit is available for Ksh 7,540 and includes all the items we have listed above. You can always select additional equipment and sensors if you need them. The basic kit provides most people with what they need to get started and the option to add more to your system at a later date is available.
    2. Choose Monitoring plan: You can setup Rafiki by Securex at your home and monitor it by yourself through your phone at no extra cost. For those who want additional monitoring by Securex, you can choose that plan that will cost you Ksh 499 every month or go with the plan that will let them send a response team to you in cases where that is needed. This plan is available for Ksh 4,500 per month.

You can purchase a variety of sensors and other equipment from Securex, including cameras, smart bulbs, smart plugs and a number of other security products that are compatible with Rafiki.

How easy is it to install Rafiki by Securex?

The installation process is very easy and straightforward. Just install the Rafiki by Securex app on your phone and follow the installation instructions. Every sensor that is included in the kit can be connected to the Gateway Alarm panel.

You will be able to complete the installation of this home security kit in less than an hour and no tools are required to do the job. Everything that is needed is included inside the package.

Is Rafiki By Securex right for you?

Rafiki by Securex’s affordable price and plans makes it the best home security solution for most people. If you need to monitor what goes on in your home then this product is for you.

There are a number of kits that can be added to the main Gateway Alarm panel to provide you with everything to keep your home secure. There is a basic plan that does not cost you anything per month and with this you can still keep your home secure. This might be the best plan to start with before you think of upgrading to the paying plan.

Buying the home security kit will cost you Ksh 7,540 which is not that high considering what it has to offer. With this, you get the full kit including motion detector and door/window sensors. If you have never had a home security kit, this is the one to start with.
