LG Electronics has today unveiled in Kenya its wireless ear buds that promise an exceptional listening experience, and also come with an industry-first UVnano case that eliminates bacteria and germs on the earbuds as they charge.

The LG TONE Free wireless earbuds are available in two models, HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4 models that cater for all you need from communication to entertainment.

The LG Tone Free features technology from Meridian Audio, the renowned British audio technology company and LG’s trusted partner in delivering superior sound. This ensures no sound distortion and one hears sound as natural and clear.

At the same time, the earbuds give you the comfort of controlling how much noise you hear around you, without having to plug them out of your ears. No matter where you are, you become completely immersed in whatever you listen to and forget you are wearing earbuds.

The wireless earbuds also recreate a realistic soundstage that stimulates the experience of listening to real loudspeakers, with pristine clarity and completely immerse the listener, thanks to Digital Signal Processing technology also developed by Meridian.

Speaking during the launch ceremony, LG Electronics East Africa Managing Director Sa Nyuong Kim said the LG TONE Free wireless earbuds bring a totally new experience to the market.

“LG has always strived to deliver better sound to more consumers. With our new TONE Free earbuds, developed through our expanded and successful partnership with Meridian Audio, we are not only bringing great sound but also creating an exceptional and highly practical listening experience for the consumer,” said Mr. Kim.

Both LG TONE Free models feature customized EQ sound settings developed by Meridian with four unique presets: Natural for authentic and balanced sound, Immersive for an expanded sense of space, Bass Boost for that extra punch and Treble Boost for greater clarity to vocal performances.

“Whether you are home, in the car, commuting or at the gym, the new LG TONE Free models represent the latest in audio innovation and performance for consumers worldwide. We have poured all our accumulated expertise into creating the sound identity for this new range of LG TONE Free products,” says Meridian CEO John Buchanan.

With studies showing that earbuds can harbor more bacteria than a kitchen cutting board, leading to potential ear infections, the LG TONE Free FN6 Model charging case is furnished with UV Nano technology which eliminates 99.9% of bacteria, during charging, eliminating the risk of contracting infections from the speaker mesh. First of its kind, this earbuds version offers the ear care that has not been thought of before by manufacturers.

Besides the UVNano charging case, a no mean feat to mention is the wearing comfort that the Tone Free earbuds comprise of. The LG Tone Free are designed to stay in the ear in that the major weight rests on the ear hence this reduces the risk of falling off your ears. The earbuds are made of soft non-toxic material, which provides you with confidence and comfort.

LG TONE Free users need not worry about downtime as the earbuds are enabled with a fast charging feature. When fully charged, both models can provide up to six hours of continuous listening experience. Surprisingly, 5 minutes of charge can give it’s user up to one hour playtime.

Part of the enhanced customer convenience is also brought by the water resistance benefit as they are IPX4 rated. This technology offers protection against splashing water, rain or perspiration, allowing our consumers to use in different types of environments.

From the charging case to the earbuds themselves, these products are designed with a touch of class and excellence. The case is sleek and soft, and beautifully circular. The Tone Free earbuds are aesthetically minimalistic, yet extremely appealing to the eye. The HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4 come in two colors: matte Stylish Black and glossy Modern White.

They also incorporate Voice Command to connect through voice access to Google Assistant or Siri on a connected smartphone. Intuitive touch commands built into the earbud allows the listener to play, pause, skip and control the volume level without reaching for the phone.
