Microsoft’s AI-powered digital assistant is no longer available on mobile, following last year’s announcement. The move earmarks the company’s transition to pitch Cortana as your go-to productivity digital assistant.

“As we announced in July, we will soon be ending support for the Cortana app on Android and iOS, as Cortana continues its evolution as a productivity assistant,” the company said(via MacRumors).

The company says content in Cortana, like Reminders and lists, will no longer be accessible via mobile. However, you can also access such content via Microsoft’s To Do app.

Alternatively, you can also access your reminders through Cortana in Windows.

Cortana debuted on mobile in December 2015 and has been just another digital assistant to other mainstream assistants like Google Assistant.

Last year Microsoft announced sweeping changes to Cortana, changing course from a generic digital assistant to a productivity-focused assistant embedded in systems. Shying away from its longtime rival Google Assistant, one of the most ubiquitous digital assistants.

Following the mobile shutdown, Microsoft will close Cortana on other platforms, even in its own premium Surface Headphones.

Cortana is no longer available on Google Play Store and App Store.
