Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new phones under the Redmi Sub-brand. The Redmi Note 10 series comes in three models, a standard Redmi Note 10, a Pro version and a Pro Max version. The series is led by the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, as you’d expect.
Being the series’ highlights, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max features a 6.67-inch super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel maxes out at 1200 nits and supports HDR 10. You get a 108MP main camera, an 8 MP Ultra-wide angle lens, a 5MP Super Macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. The 108 MP main sensor is Samsung’s second-gen ISOCELL HM2 featured on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The selfie camera is a 16 MP lens housed in a punch-hole.
Under the hood of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G paired with an Adreno 618 GPU, a 5,020 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support, up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
Redmi Note 10 Pro sports the same design as the Pro Max with an identical 120Hz AMOLED panel, similar chipset, and battery. Major differences lie in the camera department. It has a 64 MP quad-camera array.
The Redmi Note 10 features a less powerful Snapdragon 678 SoC. You get a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with 1100 nits peak brightness, up to 6 GB RAM and 128GB storage and a 48 MP quad-camera setup. Other camera lenses in the rear array include an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth sensor. It features a 13MP selfie camera also housed in a hole punch notch.
The battery is a bit smaller – 5000mAh – but the company retained the 33W fast charging support.
Pricing
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 retails at around Ksh 18,000 for the 4+64GB memory option. The 6GB + 128GB option goes at around Ksh 21,000. Redmi Note 10 Pro starts at about Ksh 24,000(6GB+64GB), Ksh 25,600 for 6GB/128GB and about Ksh 30,000 for the higher 8GB/128GB variant.
The Pro Max version starts at Ksh 28,000(6GB+64GB) and tops at about Ksh 33,000 for 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. There is a media 6GB/128GB model as well going at around Ksh 30,000.
Keep in mind that these are not final prices, but should give an idea of how each model might cost when they land in Kenya. Xiaomi Kenya is yet to reveal any details about the launch of the trio in the country.
