    The OPPO Reno 5 Series Will Be Unveiled in Kenya Next Week

    The OPPO Reno 5 and the Reno 5F smartphones will be unveiled in Kenya next week. The company has confirmed that the two devices will be introduced to the market on February 22, 2021. This will be the first major release by the company in the Kenyan market in 2021 and the company decided to come out with its best device for that.

    “With its industry-leading video performance, the Reno5 is the AI Portrait Expert that empowers users to express their best self and creativity under the tag ‘Picture Life Together’,” the company said in a statement.

    The OPPO Reno 5 will act as the company’s flagship series for the country and will be the most expensive device in its portfolio.

    “Today’s smartphone is not just a tool to record our memories – it’s a partner that empowers our own unique way of storytelling and archives the unforgettable stories we share with our friends and family,” said Muthoni Wachira, Head of Communications & Projects at OPPO Kenya.

    Oppo Reno 5 specifications

    Display: The Oppo Reno 5 has a 6.43-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A punch-hole in on the top left, and embeds the fingerprint sensor.

    Processor: Powering the Oppo Reno 5 is an octa-core Snapdragon 720G processor.

    RAM: Oppo Reno 5 has 8GB of RAM.

    Storage: The Oppo Reno 5 comes with 128GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card.

    Rear Cameras: The Reno 5 has a setup of four cameras on the back: a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP mono camera. There is an LED flash module on the back.

    Front Camera: The punch-hole on the display’s left side houses a 44MP selfie camera with AI Portrait Mode.

    Battery: The Reno 5 is backed by a 4310mAh battery that supports the 50W fast charging technology via USB-C port.

    Operating System: The Reno 5 comes with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.

    The launch event will be streamed live via http://bit.ly/OPPOLaunchEvent from 10.00am, with the viewers having an opportunity to win prizes that include two Reno5 devices, an OPPO smart watch and two Enco W11 wireless earphones.

    Oppo Reno 5 price

    OPPO has not revealed the price of the Reno 5 in Kenya but it should be around Ksh 40,000 as this is the price of previous Reno devices.
