    The Xiaomi Redmi 9T Is Now Available in Kenya Starting from Ksh 17,400

    Xiaomi has today announced the availability of the Redmi 9T smartphone in the Kenyan market. This is the much-anticipated smartphone from the company to launch in Kenya and the company has decided to officially bring it to local customers just a few days to Valentines 2021.

    The Xiaomi Redmi 9T in Kenya is available in two variants with one having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space while the other one has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. As from pricing, they are fairly priced with the 64GB variant available for Ksh 17,399 while the 128GB variant going for Ksh 18,599. You can get any variant from the Xiaomi Partner stores countrywide.

    The Redmi 9T is the first major launch by the company in the country this year or even the first competitively priced smartphone the company has brought to the Kenya market in 2021. It does offer good value for money considering the specifications it comes with and more importantly compared to some of the other devices offered by competitors.

    Xiaomi Redmi 9T Specifications

    The Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor. As mentioned above, it is available in two RAM/Storage options of 4GB/64 and 4GB/128GB. The phone runs MIUI 12 which is based on Android 10.

    Equipped with 3rd generation Qualcomm AI Engine and up to 2.0GHz of processing power, the Redmi 9T is faster and more responsive than ever before.

    The phone has a quad-camera setup made up of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. All these are arranged in a rectangular camera module. As for selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera.

    Providing all the power is a massive 6,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. We do not get to see that many smartphones with such huge batteries and the Redmi 9T will be a hit with those looking for a phone with a big battery. For charging, the phone supports USB Type-C.
