Showmax Announces New Enticing Subscription Deal

Showmax mobile app

Showmax, the Multi-choice owned video on demand platform, has announced a special deal to subscribers across the continent. The Showmax 3 for 1 deal gifts subscribers with two additional months of subscription when they pay for a single month.

The offer applies to either of the platform’s packages, including Showmax (Ksh 760 p/m), Showmax Mobile (Ksh 380 p/m), Showmax Pro (Ksh 2100 p/m), or Showmax Pro Mobile (Ksh 1050 p/m).

The basic Showmax mobile-only subscription costs Ksh 380 a month, while the highest package, Showmax Pro, will set you back by Ksh 2100 with HD streaming, cross-platform support, and can be watched on two devices simultaneously.

The Showmax 3 for 1 offer is already underway and will run until 31 March 2021.

Showmax’s new deal will help the platform attract new subscribers across the continent and keep the current ones.

Recently, in December 2020, the streaming platform launched another Kenyan-only offer in partnership with Telkom Kenya.

The deal allowed Telkom Kenya subscribers to buy 30GB and 45GB data for Ksh 1,200 and Ksh 1,600, respectively, (down from Ksh 1,500 and Ksh 2,000), and in return, get a one-month free Showmax Pro mobile subscription. This offer is still live and will end in March if no extension is provided by the two.

Showmax Pro was launched in July 2020, offering Showmax subscribers a chance to watch their favorite sports live from SuperSport. The platform showcases Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, and DStv Premiership games.

Yolisa Phahle, MultiChoice Group CEO for General Entertainment and Connected Video, said, “These are challenging times, people are spending more time at home, and we are thrilled to offer all our Showmax subscribers extra value as 2021 kicks off.”

“We’ve got an incredible line-up of Showmax Originals coming up in the next few months, including South African, Kenyan, and Nigerian Originals that we are excited to share.”
