    The Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Will Be Available on Pre-order in Kenya from Next Week

    Late yesterday, Samsung officially unveiled its latest smartphone series, the Samsung Galaxy S21. The newly launched devices include the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Besides the smartphones, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds, Galaxy Smart Tag+ and Galaxy Smart Tag.

    Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ Specifications

    The base models in the series are the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+. Even with that said, they still pack premium specifications that will compete with any other flagship smartphone you can get on the market right now.

    The Samsung Galaxy S21 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display that has a resolution of 2400 x 1080. This display has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. As for the S21+, it has a 6.7-inch display FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display.

    Both the S21 and S21+ are powered by the Exynos 2100 chipset or the Snapdragon 888 chipset depending on where you are. They come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space.

    For the cameras, the S21 and S21+ come with 10MP punch hole front facing cameras. For the back, they do come with a triple camera setup made up of a 12MP ultra-wide lens, 12MP wide angle lens and a 64MP telephoto lens.

    The Galaxy S21 is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery while the S21 has a 4,800 mAh battery.

    Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

    The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra on the other hand comes with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor or the Exynos 2100 chipset. The processor is paired with 12 or 16GB of RAM with up to 256GB of internal storage space.

    For the cameras it comes with a 108MP main sensor, 12MP wide angle lens, 10MP telephoto lens and another 10MP telephoto lens that supports 10x optical zoom. For selfies, it has a 40MP front facing camera.

    Samsung Galaxy S21 series pre-order in Kenya

    In Kenya, pre-orders for the Galaxy S21 series will start on January 22. The pre-order period will run all the way to February 11. Those who pre-order any of the three devices in Kenya will get the Samsung Smart Tag and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro for free.

    As for pricing, this is what Samsung Kenya has confirmed.

    Samsung Galaxy S21 – 128GB/256GB – Ksh 100,000/Ksh 106,000

    Samsung Galaxy S21+ – Ksh 125,000

    Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra – 256GB/512GB – Ksh 154,000/Ksh 170,000
