We had already told you that the Huawei Watch Fit was to be unveiled in Kenya this month. This smart fitness band has been on pre-order in Kenya for about a week and it is finally available in stores across the country.

The Huawei Watch Fit falls between the company’s basic fitness bands and its GT smartwatches. It has some elements of both and is the perfect accessory for those who do not want or are not willing to spend money on a smartwatch or those who feel that fitness bands are just too basic to their liking.

The Huawei Watch Fit is available in stores for ksh 11,999. It will be available in three colour options of mint green, green, Sakura pink and graphite black. With these, you an choose the color that fits your style.

The Huawei Watch Fit comes with a 1.64 inch AMOLED display with very thin bezels. It has a number of watch faces for you to customise it the way you want. All this can be done via the Huawei Health app that you will have to download on your phone when pairing the watch.

The Watch Fit has a heart rate and ambient light sensor. It can also send alerts for text messages, incoming calls, WhatsApp messages and other notifications from your phone. It can also be used to control the music on your phone.

For those wanting to track their performance in detail, Huawei Watch Fit supports 96 workout modes with advanced data tracking. 11 professional workout modes cover the most popular exercise types, including running, walking, cycling, swimming and more. A further 85 workout modes, including fitness training, dancing, ball games, water sports, winter sports and extreme sports, ensure consumers are covered no matter how niche their athletic interests are. Users can easily select their favourite workout mode to record their performance, with the smart sensors detecting heart rate, heart rate interval, calories, exercise time and other data.
