OPPO is set to launch its first smartwatch in Kenya later this week. The wearable market is growing and with smartwatches focusing on health and fitness, this seems to appeal to most customers and the market is set to grow even further in the coming months and years.

The OPPO watch is the first smartwatch from the company and was unveiled to a global audience not so long ago. In Kenya, the OPPO Watch will be available in Black, Pink Gold, and Silver Mist colour options. Being the first smartwatch from OPPO in Kenya, we are expecting a lot from this device and hopefully the price will be reasonable.

The OPPO Watch is powered by Wear OS and comes with a 1.2GHz quad core processor. It will be launched alongside the new OPPO Reno 4 that the company has been tasing for a few days.

The OPPO Watch has a 3D dual-curved display and has fitness tracking features as well as heart rate monitoring. Besides this, it does have steps tracking, exercise tracking and sleep tracking features. I have been using the watch for close to a week now and the sleep tracking feature is pretty good.

OPPO is yet to reveal the price of this smartwatch but we will know this later this week.

The OPPO Watch comes with an AMOLED display and has two physical buttons on the right. The display has a resolution of 320×360 pixels. It comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor

For the battery, it has a 300 mAh unit that according to the company should offer 24 hours on the smart mode. I did not get it to last this long mainly because I have it connected to my phone most of the times.

I will have a full review of this watch in about a week so watch out for that.
