Vivo Unveils its Flagship X50 Series with Great Focus on Photography

Vivo has unveiled its X50 flagship series with 5G support. The X50 is Vivo’s frontier into the flagship smartphone segment after teasing the Vivo APEX 2020 Concept Phone a few months ago.

The APEX 2020 concept phone builds on the company’s breakthrough technology in the camera department and that’s what the X50 flagship series family brings to the consumer market.

The X50 series features the groundbreaking gimbal-based OIS system for better stability while shooting in motion plus a bunch of software tricks tucked inside the camera app. The Gimbal Camera System is also capable of

X50’s major focus lies in the camera department and promises better shots at night (has two modes here; Super Night Mode and Astro Mode), and up to 60x hybrid zoom.

The X50 family comes in three different models – Vivo X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro+. The X50 Pro+ model delivers the same flagship-level specs of 2020’s high-end phones under the hood. Straight away from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+X55 processor, an HDR10+ capable display refreshing at 120Hz, 44W fast charging tech, up to 12GB RAM and Samsung’s 1/1.3 inch 50-Megapixel ISOCELL GN1 sensor.

The base price for the low-end X50 model starts at around Ksh 52,000 in China while the highest X50 Pro+ sells at around Ksh 90,000 which bags you 12GB of memory paired with 256GB of onboard storage.

Vivo also unveiled its new vivo TWS Earphone Neo to go hand in hand with their new flagship series phones.
