Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Tab S6 lite in Kenya next week. This new tablet will be available in retail stores for Ksh 55,000. This is the latest tablet from the Korean manufacturer and I am surprised they decided to launch it in Kenya at this time. I was expecting the company to launch it later this year.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is the smaller brother to the Tab S6 and it comes with an S Pen and a big 7,040 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has the same thick bezels we saw on the Galaxy Tab S6. It also has the punch hole on the display to house the 5MP front facing camera. If you are one of those people who take selfies with their tablets, you will be able to with this one. At the back it has an 8MP camera with auto-focus. This camera is capable of shooting Full HD videos.

“We understand how busy modern life can be, as our work becomes more flexible and blends with our personal time. Consumers need a versatile device that can integrate seamlessly into their everyday lifestyle,” said Woncheol Chai, SVP and Head of Product Planning Team, Mobile Communication Business, Samsung Electronics. “The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and the new S Pen are packed with the latest technology to help people stay organized, multitask and capture ideas effortlessly, allowing them to spend time on what matters most to them.”

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has a 10.4 inch display, has 4GB of RAM and comes with Android 10 with One UI 2.0 out of the box.
