The Huawei Nova 5T is the latest smartphone from the company to launch in Kenya. The Nova 5T was unveiled to a global audience late last year and has been available in other markets and has just made it way to Kenya.
The phone is currently available on pre-order in Kenya till January 31. Those who pre-order the Nova 5T will get a free pair of the Huawei Band 4, the company’s smart band. The recommended retail price is set at Ksh 42,000, not cheap but Huawei says with this you are getting good value for money.
The Huawei Nova 5T is the first Nova series smartphone from the company to launch in Kenya. This series has been available in other markets and Huawei has decided to bring it to Kenya. The reason may have something to do with the US ban that has seen the company slow growth as it has not been aggressive as it has been in previous years. With the launch of the Nova 5T, the company hopes to recapture some market share in the country. I will wait and see how this phone performs in the months to come.
