For Android, connecting to wireless headphones was still a pain in the ass, and kudos to Google for announcing the Fast Pair feature in 2017, things have become less frustrating since then for supported devices.

However, we have not perfected the art just yet. And Google is ready to equip the Fast pair feature with more functionalities for convenience and ease of managing your wireless headphones.

The new update is set to launch later this year will be one of the significant upgrades. Google has stated that the update will bring along additional features for managing Bluetooth devices. The new update brings separate info on battery percentage for each bud independently and also the case. Also, your wireless buds will be included in Find My Device that will come handy when you want to track your lost buds. At the same time, this will give you options to easily unpair or ring the missing buds.

The wireless buds will even be offered a unique Bluetooth Device Details page inside the settings apps on Android Q that will centralize the management of wireless devices.  Device details will include links to Find My Device, Assistant settings (if available) and also the OEM app of the wireless device.
