Five Things You Can Do With Google Search

Google now update

Google now update

Since the launch of Search 20 years ago, Google has built in several useful features and tools to help make everyday life easier. Whether you are looking for information related to your career, education or health, Search provides quick access to tools and reliable resources to help you make informed decisions.

Here are some other great ways to leverage useful features on Search in your day to day life.

Search as your Google assistant

Google is now helping phones to be not only location-aware, but context-aware too. Google Assistant is one of the ways that Google is helping you find timely, relevant and useful information when you need it. For instance, with your phone, you can simply search for [events near me] or for a specific event type like [food festivals] and you’ll see listings for local activities from around the web. If you happen to look for a recipe in a hurry, just search on mobile for whatever you’re craving (say, chapati or pancakes) and you’ll see a carousel of recipe suggestions.

Search with Voice

Voice search, voice actions and voice input have been an integral part of the Android experience, and now includes integration of 500 million real-world things, people, and places, with 3.5 billion connections and facts about them.

When you are on the move and don’t have the time to type a query, Voice Search uses Knowledge Panels to instantly answer questions for which there is a clear answer, for example, if you want to know the height of the Eiffel Tower, Voice Search will give you just what you need.

Find your next job

Now available in more than 90 countries around the world, you can search for jobs right on Google. Thanks to the Google for Jobs feature, Kenyan job seekers can search for employment opportunities using their phones or their computers. The feature utilizes machine learning algorithms to sort and organize job listings from a range of employment sites including LinkedIn, BrighterMonday and Fuzu among others.

Get help with health questions

When searching for common health conditions, like influenza or a sprained ankle, you’ll find relevant medical facts in a knowledge panel. We’ll show you typical symptoms, treatments and other details—like how common the condition is, whether it’s critical or contagious, ages of people affected and more—all from reliable sources and vetted by doctors.

Styling and shopping help from Google Images

When exploring style ideas or browsing for your next buy with Google Images, pictures of products that are available to purchase are marked with a “products” badge in the Google app and mobile web. Images marked “product” include price, reviews and availability, making it easier and faster to research and shop.
