Safaricom Open Day kicked off last month and will end on the 8th of July. Yes, I know, it is not a one day event but who am I to raise questions when you can get discounted devices during this period. The discounted devices are available online and offline through different retails stands. Online, you can get these deals through Masoko and in this post I will be listing my top 5 smartphones that you should consider. These are the phones I would buy if I was looking to buy one.

I will list devices in different price segments just to make sure no one is left behind. I will also include links to each specific device for those who want to buy them online.

    The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is the latest flagship from the company to be launched in Kenya. The phone has been around for a few months and I have already reviewed it and you can check that here. This phone really impressed me especially the camera. I prefer it over the standard Galaxy S9. It’s price during Safaricom Open Day is Ksh 94,999. This price is exactly what Samsung lists as the recommend retail price so you are not getting a huge discount here. Either way, this is a good phone worth your money.

I have always loved Huawei Mate devices as they are practical and their batteries always last longer than those of most other flagship smartphones. The big display is perfect for those working on the go or even for media consumption. Below are its key specs.
