Direct Pay Online has officially consolidated its payment system across the continent under the new brand name DPO Group to align the group’s wide-ranging African footprint. This announcement follows the company’s accelerated expansion that saw its presence expand to fifteen countries.

According to DPO’s CEO, Eran Feinstein, the rebrand will enhance the strength of the Group across Africa. “We feel that brand uniformity is a strength that we are yet to explore to its full capacity. With one brand across the continent, we will effectively demonstrate DPO’s reach and dominance in the payments space. This further boosts our reputation for excellence amongst our key stakeholders,” said Mr. Feinstein.

In a move to optimize its service offering in the South African market, DPO Group has also changed the name of their operations in South Africa from PayGate to DPO PayGate. This follows DPO’s acquisition of PayGate South Africa, VCS Namibia, VCS Botswana, PayThru South Africa, VCS South Africa, and EFT specialist SID which have all been consolidated into one company. DPO PayGate will now be the biggest PSP in Southern Africa and will be able to support payments for thousands of merchants in the region.

Speaking about the rebrand, DPO’s Chairman, Offer Gat said that stakeholders’ continuous referral to “DPO” led to the official move. “Brand DPO aligns our internal and external identity as we officially consolidate all the companies in the group under one recognized brand.”

In line with the rebrand, DPO has launched a new customer-friendly, interactive website. The revamped site, which boasts state of the art hosting services and 99.99% stability, has been created with the merchant and consumer in mind and offers a user-friendly experience with improved functionality and navigation. The website overhaul further enables DPO merchants to access services offered across the group’s fifteen markets.

Ever since its establishment in Kenya in 2006, DPO’s expansion activities have driven the company into new markets including Tanzania and Zanzibar, Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Ghana and Nigeria.
