If you own the Samsung Galaxy S8, you may want to check out the new Galaxy S8 Oreo beta program. Just as the name suggests, this is a program for those who own the Galaxy S8 and want to test out the beta build of Android Oreo. You will essentially be among the first users of the Samsung device to test out the OS before it is rolled out to all users.

The company announced this saying that this program brings Samsung Experience 9.0 Beta. “Following Samsung Experience version 8.5, which was released with the Galaxy Note8, Samsung Experience 9.0 is based on the latest version of the operating system built on the Android Oreo UI and UX, and will be available on the next flagship Galaxy device,” the company said in a statement.

At the moment, Samsung is limiting the Galaxy S8 Oreo beta program to three markets including the UK, South Korea and the US. We may see this expand to other markets but so far Samsung has not confirmed that. Given that this is a beta program, not all Galaxy S8 and S8+ users are eligible.

To be part of the program, you will need to have an active Samsung Account as well as the Samsung Members app installed on your device. Since the OS you are getting is a beta build, it may not be stable, you should onlye get it if you do not mind that.
