Instagram Stories Now Available To Mobile Web Users

Instagram

Instagram introduced Stories as a way for users to share moments of their day and at the same time follow what their friends are up to. Ever since this feature was introduced, it was only present to those who were using the app, those using Instagram’s web platforms had no way of seeing the stories shared by their friends or even upload stories themselves.

This will be changing very soon as Instagram is taking Stories to the mobile version of its website. This means that even those who do not have the Instagram app will still be able to see their friend’s stories. With this, you do not have to miss on what your friends are up to even if you are using Instagram’s mobile web.

If you are using Instagram on your desktop, you will still not be able to view your friend’s stories. I doubt this is a big deal for anyone as I do not know anyone wants to view or even upload photos and videos to their stories when using Instagram on the web platform. Instagram has even confirmed that it has no plans of bringing Stories support to desktop users.

Instagram has also added that at the moment, users can only view the stories shared by their friends on mobile web, the option to upload stories will be coming later.
