AnTuTu Benchmark Listing Reveals Some of the Key Specifications of the Nokia 9

Nokia 9

Nokia 9

At the beginning of the year, Nokia re-entered the smartphone through HMD Global. We have already seen new smartphones from the company including the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6. These smartphones are currently available in select markets but here in Kenya we are yet to see them.

These are not the only devices that HMD Global will be releasing this year, there is also a flagship one that we have heard will be called the Nokia 9. We have heard a few things about this smartphone and now a listing on benchmarking platform, AnTuTu, has revealed some of its key specifications and show that it will be able to compete with this year’s flagships.

From the listing, we are meant to understand that the phone will come with manageable 5.27-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, not bad in any way. Powering this device will be the Snapdragon 835 processor that will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. These are all decent specifications that you expect to see on a flagship device in 2017. I am impressed with this device so far.

As for the camera, the AnTuTu listing reveals a “13 MP + 13 MP” unit and this sort of hints at a dual camera setup that we have seen on devices such as the Huawei P10 that was launched a couple of months ago. This is quite an interesting combination and given that Nokia was known for its superior camera, I expect the Nokia 9 to give some manufacturers a run for their money. The listing does not reveal anything about the front facing camera but I expect an 8MP unit.

With the AnTuTu listing, we should expect the Nokia 9 anytime soon, I won’t be surprised if it is unveiled before the end of the month.
