Yesterday, we told you that Google has plans to release Android Wear 2.0 on February 9. At the time, we did not have any information on which companies had plans to launch smartwatches powered by Android Wear 2.0.

For those who were keen to know of any Android Wear 2.0 devices currently under production, you will be happy to know that Google and LG are working on two devices to be announced next month. This was revealed yesterday by Evan Blass (@evleaks) who is the same guy who pointed out that Google will be releasing Android Wear 2.0 in February.

Evan Blass says that the smartwatches will not be Pixel branded like its smartphones, they will only carry LG’s name. There will be two smartwatches, the Watch Sport and the Watch Style. The two model will be unveiled on February 9 and the Watch Sport will be the premium model, official Pricing has not been revealed at this point.

For specifications, the LG Watch Sport will come with a 1.38-inch circular OLED display with a resolution of 480×480 pixels. Under the hood it has 768MB RAM, 4GB of storage space, a heart rate sensor and providing all the juice is a 430 mAh battery. The smartwatch is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It has a number of connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G, GPS, and NFC. It will be available in two colour options of Titanium and dark blue.

The LG Watch Style on the other hand will have a 1.2-inch round p-OLED display with a resolution of 360×360 pixels. Under the hood sits 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage space, heart rate sensor and a 240 mAh battery. It is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include 3G, 4G, GPS and NFC. It will be available in three colour options of Titanium, silver, and Rose Gold.

With their announcement scheduled for February 9, they are expected to hit retail stores in the US the following day with other markets and territories following thereafter.
