About two weeks ago, we told you about the Twitter’s new material design for its Android app. Back then, Twitter was doing a test roll out to a few individuals and we were lucky to be among the first ones to get the update, read more about it here.

It now looks like Twitter is happy with how the initial roll out and now is making this updated app available to all Android users through the Google Play Store.

    New Twitter Notifications

This new Design aligns with Google’s Material philosophy with a fluid design with elements such as floating action buttons and smooth animations. Some of the features you should expect with this new app include.

    1. Tab bar at the top of the screen with swipe functionality so you can quickly move between your Home timeline, Notifications, Direct Messages, and more.
    2. Navigation menu that slides out from the side for access to your profile, Highlights, lists, the Connect tab, and settings.
    3. New floating action button so you can always easily send a Tweet.

If you want the updated Twitter app, head over to the Google Play Store and update it manually.
