Virtual reality headsets are still in the early days given that not many manufacturers have shown interest in them and not many consumers know about them. Even with this, there are still people out there who are very much interested in these headsets.

One proof that VR headsets are gaining popularity comes from the latest sales figures of HTCs latest VR headset the Vive. The company revealed that it managed to sell over 15,000 units of the Vive VR kits in just 10 minutes after it went on sale for preorder. This is very impressive no matter what way you look at it and shows that the market is really catching up.

Woah, more than 15k units in less than 10min 😮

The HTC Vive is a peripheral PC that allows you to wear it and feel like you are inside of a game or a simulated experience. The Vive is not like all the other VR sets in the market as it comes with a whole bunch of sensors that will be able to track your movements inside a room. This goes a long way in improving the users experience.

Only time will tell if the HTC Vive VR headsets will be successful.
