If you own the OnePlus X, there is some good news for you as you should be expecting to get the OxygenOS 2.2.0 update anytime from today. The OnePlus X was first launched in October last year and was an instant hit with most consumers.

OnePlus has already started pushing this update to the OnePlus X and this comes over one month since it was made available to the OnePlus 2. OnePlus is sending out this update in waves so you have to be patient if you still don’t have it for your device.

From the changelogs, OxygenOS 2.2.0 update will do the following:

  1. General bug fixes and optimizations
  2. Added dual SIM preferences back in system settings
  3. Include Manual mode for Camera App
  4. Save to SD card option in Camera App
  5. USSD bug fix for India
  6. OTA App upgrade
  7. Security patches

It is always nice to see manufacturers support their devices with new updates to fix critical issues they have. If you don’t know about the OnePlus X, it comes with a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This makes it one of the smallest OnePlus device out there. It is powered by the Snapdragon 801 chipset.
