Skype for Android has just been updated to version 6.11 which brings some few improvements to the app. This update has just started rolling out and you may not have it yet but be sure you will get it very soon if you are on Android. Skype has not revealed if and when this feature will be rolling out to all the other platforms.

With this new version, you can save video messages that you receive or those that you make. To save a video message, all you have to do is tap on it and it will be saved in the photo gallery. This means that you have the option of saving video messages to get back to them later.

The latest Skype update also allows you to share photos from your phone’s gallery directly to a group conversations. When you tap on an image when in a group, you will be able to forward the content to another group.

A few other features included in the update include:

  1. Skype Mojis: Send short clips from your favorite movies and TV shows in a Skype chat.
  2. Enhanced search – Search for conversation content, in addition to contacts and group names

If you have Skype for Android, you can go over to the Play Store and click on “My apps” and finding the app there where you can update it. If you have set your apps to update automatically, you don’t have to worry about this as you may be getting it within the next few days.
