Huawei is rolling out Android 5.1.1 Update to the Ascend Mate 7

Huawei is currently rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to one of its best devices of the last two years, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. The Ascend Mate 7 was launched some time last year and it is interesting to see Huawei still supporting it with the latest OS. The latest update brings with it a number of updates including an updated EMUI 3.1.

At the moment, the update is available for the MT7-L09 and MT7-TL10 variants of the Mate 7. This is not an over the air update but am sure that will be coming in the next few weeks. You can check the download link at the end of this article.

The Ascend Mate 7 is quite a premium smartphone by all standards. It has a massive 6 inch display with a 1080p resolution. The phone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 925 processor with featuring four 1.8GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores.

As for storage, the Ascend Mate 7 is available in either 16 GB or 32 GB of space with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. At the back is a 13MP camera with a 5MP one at the front.

Here is the download link for those who can’t wait for the OTA update.
