Android Marshmallow is on its way to existing smartphones that are not under the Nexus lineup. As other manufactures are preparing to update their device, HTC is planning to launch its first smartphone to come with Android Marshmallow straight out of the box.

The first smartphone from HTC to come with Android Marshmallow will be unveiled later this month on October 20th. HTC is definitely looking to be among the top manufacturers to come with a device powered by the latest Android variant and this might work out in the company’s favor if no other manufacturer steals the show.

HTC will have even managed to unveil its Marshmallow powered smartphone just a few weeks after the existing Nexus devices get this update.

We do not know the name of this smartphone at the moment but most probably it will be the HTC One A9 that we have seen around. If this is the case, then the phone will have a 5 inch 1080p AMOLED display that is held neatly by the full metal body frame.

The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage space. At the back will be a 13MP camera with a 4MP front facing camera.

We will know more about this smartphone as time goes by.
