Every year, Google partners with Smartphone manufacturers to work on Nexus branded Smartphones that provide the pure Android experience to users. This year, rumours are suggesting that Google may end up working with Huawei for its upcoming Nexus Smartphone.

The Huawei Nexus Smartphone will most likely be based on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus and will feature a dual camera setup. Huawei has seen a growth in global market share and in china and Google sees this as an opportunity to use that growth for the better. Google also realises the threat posed by devices running Cyanogen Mod. These devices have become very popular among Chinese manufacturers and Google does not like it.

If the Huawei Nexus will be based on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus, it may end up having a few features seen on the Honor 6 Plus. These include a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It may also come with 3GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. Powering it will be an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 925 processor. Of course the two 8-megapixel cameras will be included at the back.

At this point, Google and Huawei have not confirmed this partnership but if you ask me it looks like a valuable one if it happens.  This is because the partnership will help Google push its services to the Chinese market, something they have tried for long with not much success.
