Late last night, Microsoft unveiled its latest Windows version, Windows 10 to the world. Windows 10 is supposed to take over from Windows 8 and Microsoft decided to skip Windows 9 for no apparent reason. With Windows 10 Microsoft has decided to unify all devices running Windows from tablets, Smartphones to PCs. This means that the nest version of its mobile OS will also be called Windows 10.
With this new version, Microsoft is clearly targeting the corporate world as it has promised compatibility of this new OS with management programs giving users a chance to separate between corporate and personal data, customize the store and create the “greatest enterprise platform, ever”.

Since Microsoft is focusing so much on unification, the new Windows 10 may look different across the different devices but it is very similar under the hood. This is good news for developers as it means that they will have an easy job developing compatible apps. Microsoft has kept the Metro UI but has renamed it to Universal to reflect its intentions.
Microsoft did not reveal the details and only said more information will be available as time goes by.
