Chromebooks are affordable laptops that require an internet connection because they store most of their information on the cloud. Most Chromebooks released before have had the same design, features and costs with very few differences. This is what Samsung wanted to change with their new Chromebook that will be available in April.

According to Samsung the upcoming Chromebook will be available in two sizes (11.6-inch and 13-inch) and will have “a durable textured lid and elegant stitched design.” This means it will have an outer faux leather finish with soft touch stitches on the outer edge.

Both the sizes will be powered by the Exnos 5 Octa processor from Samsung, the same one found on the Galaxy S5. They will also have 4GB of RAM which is a quite good given the fact that most Chromebooks in the market have 2GB RAM. 16GB of storage will come standard on both these Chromebooks.

The 13 inch model will have a full HD 1,920×1,080 display, a 2.1GHz ARM-based processor and will cost $400 (approximately Kshs. 35,000).

The smaller 11.6-inch variant has a HD display of 1366 x 768, a 1.9GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor and will cost you $ 319 (Kshs. 28,000).

In addition to all these, these new Chromebooks from Samsung will have AirDroid, a feature that allows you to access and manage your Android device.
