Even before Samsung unveils their new flagship device, the Galaxy S IV, rumors are that the company is working on another device under the Galaxy franchise, a new entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy Pocket Neo.

According to a very reliable source at Sam mobile, Samsung will unveil this new device in May this year. The Galaxy Pocket Neo will come in two variants, a single sim and a dual sim variant.

The Galaxy Pocket Neo will have features similar to the original Galaxy Pocket such as 3 inch display screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and a 2 Megapixel rear facing camera. Connectivity wise, the Galaxy Pocket Neo will have support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0.

The Galaxy Pocket Neo will have the following dimensions 104.95 × 57.8 ×11.8mm, almost similar to the its predecessor, the Galaxy Pocket (103.7 x 57.5 x 12 mm).

It looks like these new devices will target most emerging markets such as Kenya, if this is so, they would probably retail at the same price as the first Galaxy Pocket device.
