Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited posted strong results in 2025, with profit after tax up 21 per cent on the previous year, crediting the agents, bancassurance partners and brokers honoured at its Annual Excellence Awards gala for supporting the turnaround.
Profit before tax rose to Ksh344 million in 2025 from Ksh284 million the previous year, while insurance revenue grew to Ksh7.9 billion from Ksh7.4 billion. The integration of Jubilee Allianz and Sanlam General is bearing fruit, delivering a much stronger balance sheet and stronger internal capabilities. Enhanced IT systems and processes, together with staff upskilling, are positioning the company to deliver a high standard of customer experience in the coming years.
The awards gala was held at the company’s head office in Westlands, Nairobi.
Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited’s Chief Executive Officer Mr George Kuria said the achievements marked a business that had regained its footing and was ready for long-term growth.
“These achievements reflect renewed momentum in the business and growing confidence in our brand and market approach,” Mr. Kuria said. “Bringing together deeper expertise, stronger capabilities and broader experience means we can better serve our customers and partners. As we build on this progress, a key priority is growing our SME business with simple, relevant solutions that meet the needs of enterprises in Kenya and enhance our customers’ experience.”
Mr. Kuria described intermediaries as the heartbeat of the business behind the achievements.
Seven agents won a trip to China and twelve a getaway to Diani on the Kenyan coast, with additional agents recognized for consistency, discipline and commitment to customers. The night’s other categories included Growth, Product Mix, Profitability and Agent of the Year for agents; Growth, Product Mix, Profitability and Bank of the Year for bancassurance partners; and five broker categories covering Retention Champions, Growth, Product Mix, Profitability and Rising Stars, the last recognizing a new generation of local insurance talent entering the industry.
The awards come in the year SanlamAllianz completed its regional rebrand following last year’s merger, and SanlamAllianz Kenya said they affirm its commitment to continued collaboration with its network of agents, bancassurance partners and brokers as the company moves through the remainder of 2026.
