HOSTAFRICA Takes Three Top Honours at Kenya’s 2026 Digitally Fit Awards

HOSTAFRICA Digitally fit awards

HOSTAFRICA secured three number-one awards at the 2026 Digitally Fit Awards Kenya Edition, held at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi on 28 August. The company was named Top Digitally Fit AI, Innovation & Technology Firm of the Year, Hosting Champion of the Year, and VPS Hosting Champion of the Year. HOSTAFRICA was also recognised among the Top 50 CEOs & Brands Leading in Digital Transformation. The awards come as Kenya’s digital economy continues to expand, with AI, online business, and locally developed technology playing an increasingly important role.

Three Awards, One Bigger Digital Story

Friday was a good night for HOSTAFRICA.

At the 14th Digitally Fit Awards Kenya Edition, HOSTAFRICA walked away with the top position in three categories covering AI and innovation, web hosting, and VPS hosting. The company also earned a place among the Top 50 CEOs & Brands Leading in Digital Transformation.

The Digitally Fit Awards recognise Kenyan businesses and individuals making an impact through websites, social media, and wider online visibility. But this year’s event also highlighted a much bigger conversation: how Kenya can turn digital technology into economic opportunity.

That starts with making the tools for getting online more accessible. From registering a domain to launching a business through reliable web hosting, the barriers between having an idea and putting it in front of customers continue to get smaller.

AI Is Becoming a Business Tool, Not Just a Talking Point

One of the clearest messages from this year’s event was simple: embrace AI rather than avoid it.

For Kenyan businesses, that doesn’t necessarily mean building the next ChatGPT. AI can automate repetitive work, improve productivity, and help smaller teams accomplish more with the resources they already have.

HOSTAFRICA’s recognition as the Top Digitally Fit AI, Innovation & Technology Firm of the Year reflects the increasingly close relationship between hosting infrastructure and these new technologies.

Tools such as n8n App Hosting and OpenClaw, for example, can give businesses and developers a foundation for building automated workflows and connecting AI with everyday business processes.

Giving Kenyan Ideas Room to Grow

Kenya already has no shortage of developers, entrepreneurs, and young innovators with ideas capable of serving both African and international markets. The next challenge is giving those ideas somewhere to grow.

Winning Hosting Champion of the Year and VPS Hosting Champion of the Year is particularly meaningful in that context.

A small business might begin with an AI Website Builder or WordPress hosting to reach its first customers. As the project becomes more ambitious, developers can move towards VPS hosting for greater control over applications, development environments, and growing workloads.

It’s a progression that mirrors Kenya’s wider digital transformation: get online, build, experiment, and scale.

Supporting Growth, Locally

Every innovative Kenyan idea needs the right support to grow. While local businesses and entrepreneurs focus on building what’s next, HOSTAFRICA supports their hosting journey at every stage, with a support team that’s proudly based in Kenya.

That local presence matters. HOSTAFRICA’s Kenyan support team understands the environment local businesses operate in and the challenges they face. They’re there not only to help resolve technical hosting issues, but to give businesses the confidence to keep building, experimenting, and growing without technology becoming an unnecessary roadblock.

Customer feedback reflects that experience too. HOSTAFRICA holds a 4.9/5 Trustpilot rating from more than 2,700 reviews, alongside strong Google customer ratings. Great infrastructure is one part of reliable hosting. Having knowledgeable local people there to help you get the most from it is the other.

“Kenya has an incredible community of entrepreneurs and innovators who are ready to use AI and digital technology to solve real problems. Our role at HOSTAFRICA is to make sure they have access to the infrastructure, tools and local support they need to turn those ideas into businesses that can compete both here in Kenya and globally,” said Wycliffe, Managing Director of HOSTAFRICA Kenya.

Building in Kenya, Competing Beyond Kenya

Perhaps the most exciting message from the Digitally Fit Awards was the emphasis on “Made in Kenya” digital innovation.

Digital platforms have made geography far less of a barrier. A Kenyan entrepreneur can launch a website, build an application, automate parts of a business, and reach customers well beyond the local market.

HOSTAFRICA’s three awards are welcome recognition, but they’re also encouragement to keep building the infrastructure behind that ambition. From accessible website hosting via AI Builders for new businesses to VPS solutions for developers creating the next generation of African digital products.

As AI and digital technology become part of everyday business, Kenya’s opportunity isn’t simply to participate in the digital economy. It’s to build more of it.
