Kotani Pay has partnered with DCSPay to expand stablecoin-powered payouts and settlement capabilities across African markets.
The partnership will connect DCSPay’s stablecoin payment infrastructure with Kotani Pay’s local payment rails. This will allow regulated exchanges using DCSPay to facilitate stablecoin-funded payouts without having to build local payment infrastructure in each market.
DCSPay will provide the stablecoin payment layer, including its wallet and checkout interface, customer and merchant onboarding, compliance oversight and stablecoin transfer initiation.
Kotani Pay will manage the local payment leg, converting USDT and USDC into local currencies and facilitating domestic peer-to-peer payouts through mobile money, USSD and other local payment channels.
The rollout will begin in Nigeria, with plans to expand to Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, South Africa and Tanzania.
“Our partnership with DCSPay demonstrates how stablecoins, combined with robust local payment rails, can remove friction from cross-border commerce.”
Felix Macharia, CEO, Kotani Pay, said the infrastructure could support use cases ranging from supplier payments to merchant settlements across African markets.
Sean Dong, Senior Director of Business Operations at DCSPay, said businesses should not have to rebuild payment infrastructure for every new market.
“By connecting DCSPay with Kotani Pay’s established local rails, we’re making it easier for businesses to extend stablecoin-funded payouts into African markets through a single integration.”
