The Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) Fund is inviting African innovators and organisations to apply for funding to scale evidence-backed solutions tackling poverty across low- and middle-income countries.
The funding programme is open to nonprofits, social enterprises, universities, businesses and partnerships. It is targeting those who are developing innovations with demonstrated early evidence of impact and potential for sustainable scale.
DIV is sector-agnostic covering health, agriculture, education, energy, financial inclusion, WASH and governance sectors.
Funding of up to $1.5 million available
Successful applicants can access funding depending on the stage of their innovation:
- Stage 1 (Piloting) – Up to $200,000.
- Stage 2 (Testing and positioning for scale) – Up to $500,000. Selected projects are eligible for up to $750,000.
- Stage 3 (Transitioning to scale) – Up to $1.5 million.
The fund also provides flexible support for testing solutions, generating evidence and preparing innovations for wider adoption.
The application deadline is September 30, 2026.
