The programme is targeting public institutions, startups and innovators, as well as universities and research institutions with high-potential AI solutions that have a clear path towards real-world implementation and measurable impact.

The call was highlighted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), alongside partners including the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Konza Technopolis, the Regional Centre of Competence for Digital and AI Skilling in the Public Sector, and timbuktoo.

Applications Open Until September 6

According to the call, applications are open from August 24 to September 6, 2026, with submissions closing at 11:59 PM EAT on September 6.

The accelerator is focused on moving AI applications beyond experimentation and towards practical deployment.

Eligible applicants can submit their use cases through the programme’s application portal at ai.konza.go.ke.
