Terra Industries, a defense technology company developing autonomous security systems for critical infrastructure across the Global South, has raised an additional $18 million, bringing its total seed funding to $52 million.
The latest round included participation from existing investors, including 8VC, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Belief Capital and SV Angel, alongside new investor Norleo Space Investments and angel investor Grant Gordon.
The company develops and manufactures autonomous defense systems designed to help governments and infrastructure operators protect critical assets across land, air and maritime environments.
Terra says its technology is already being used to secure power plants, mines and other critical infrastructure assets worth approximately $11 billion across several African countries.
The company plans to use the new funding to establish its first international office in London, expand its manufacturing capabilities, accelerate deployments across the Global South and strengthen its engineering, operations and business development teams.
“Critical infrastructure across the Global South is best protected by systems designed for these environments and built in the regions they protect,” said Terra Industries co-founder and CEO Nathan Nwachuku.
A major part of the company’s expansion strategy is the launch of its Pax-2 manufacturing facility in Ghana, which is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.
