Vertiv is planning to expand its manufacturing and testing operations in Ireland, with a proposed extension of its Letterkenny facility expected to create up to 300 new jobs.
The company plans to apply to Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square metres of space at its Letterkenny site as it responds to growing global demand for infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence (AI), colocation and hyperscale data centres.
The expansion builds on Vertiv’s existing operations across Ireland and the North West, including facilities in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Campsie in Derry, as well as its Central Procurement Office in Limerick and sales and service office in Dublin.
Vertiv said it has already onboarded more than 500 employees across its Irish facilities since the beginning of 2026 and continues to recruit for engineering and operational positions.
The new roles are expected to support increased manufacturing capacity while expanding the company’s expertise in areas including power, cooling and industrialised infrastructure solutions for AI and data centre deployments.

The proposed expansion is being supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland, with Irish officials highlighting the investment’s potential to strengthen regional employment and Ireland’s position as a base for technology and manufacturing operations.
