Pan-African EdTech startup Craydel has announced its expansion into Ghana.

The expansion gives Craydel access to one of West Africa’s largest outbound student markets. Ghana becomes the fifth new market the company has entered since late 2024.

With the latest launch, Craydel now operates in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Tanzania and Ghana.

“Ghana has one of Africa’s strongest traditions of investing in education and global talent. We have seen tremendous demand from Ghanaian students looking for trusted, technology-driven guidance as they explore study opportunities abroad,” said Manish Sardana, Co-founder and CEO of Craydel.

Founded in 2021 by Manish Sardana, John Nguru and Shayne Aman Premji, Craydel offers an AI-powered platform that enables students to search, compare and apply to universities overseas. The startup says it partners with more than 600 institutions across over 50 study destinations, providing personalised recommendations and a streamlined application process.

Craydel is expanding in Ghana and will set up local student advisory services and partner with schools and universities to provide targeted support to students seeking international education opportunities.

The startup connects African students to universities and colleges who want to recruit internationally and gets paid a commission from the universities and colleges when it successfully places students.

Craydel has raised more than $2.5 million from investors including Enza Capital and Angaza Capital as it scales its pan-African education recruitment platform.
