Vertiv has announced the addition of the Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series to its lineup. This is a new line of compact uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems aimed at ensuring continuity for everyday digital environments and reducing the impact of unexpected power disruptions.
The new series is available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It introduces 230V models with both lithium-ion and valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery configurations and is esigned for desktop and small office setups.
The Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series forms part of Vertiv’s broader end-to-end infrastructure portfolio, spanning from data centres to edge environments and individual workstations. The systems provide battery backup and surge protection in a compact, space-saving design suitable for devices such as personal computers, gaming consoles, smart home equipment, wireless routers, retail point-of-sale systems and emerging AI-powered PCs.
“In today’s increasingly distributed IT architectures, efficient and reliable power protection is critical,” said Giuseppe Leto, senior director, IT systems business at Vertiv in EMEA. “The latest Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series completes the refresh of our desktop single-phase UPS portfolio, underscoring our focus on continuously evolving our offerings to help customers address technology advancements and changing usage requirements.”
The PowerUPS 100 Standby Series includes up to eight outlets combining battery backup and surge protection, enabling users to protect multiple devices simultaneously. This also includes integrated USB-A and USB-C ports to charge mobile devices, and a wall-mountable design for flexible installation in smaller spaces.
The UPS systems have user-replaceable batteries to help extend product life and reduce maintenance costs. The series is also compatible with Vertiv Power Assist software which ensures automated system shutdown during extended outages.
The lineup includes four VRLA models with capacities ranging from 500 VA to 900 VA. It also has a 350 VA lithium-ion model.
Vertiv is backing the series with a three-year warranty for VRLA models and a five-year warranty for lithium-ion variants.
