Kenya’s Home Fibre Market Heats Up as Savanna Fibre Introduces Aggressive New Pricing

Savanna Fibre

Savanna Fibre

Kenyans have a new affordable home fibre option with the entry of Savanna Fibre. The ISP has unveiled a suite of high-speed internet packages at aggressive price points that will definitely shake the market.

The new packages are set to take effect on May 1, 2026, and will position Savanna as a serious challenger in a market currently dominated by Safaricom, Zuku and Faiba.

Savanna Fibre Packages and Pricing

Savanna Fibre has four main tiers that are bundled with a WiFi router and support for unlimited devices. These are

All the listed plans have a feature dubbed “Night Turbo-Speed.” It is not clear what this clearly means, but it probably suggests enhanced speeds during off-peak hours.

This pricing strategy is a clear signal that Savanna aims to undercut competitors and push higher speeds into the mainstream. What stands out for me is the 1 Gbps plan at KES 10,000. This is appealing to most people compared to what is already available in the market.

How This Compares to the Market

Savanna Fibre is focusing on high-speed tiers from the start, unlike some of the other ISPs that focus on gradual speed upgrades. This is the best way to disrupt the market, offering better speed-to -price ratio, bundling hardware (like routers) upfront and simplifying package structures.

If well executed, Savanna will force the other providers to make price adjustments, upgrade their speeds and introduce new customer incentives.

How Savanna Fibre Compares to Existing Providers

To understand how disruptive Savanna Fibre’s pricing is, here’s a side-by-side comparison with key players in Kenya’s home fibre market:

Savanna Fibre’s availability will ultimately determine how disruptive it becomes. At the moment, Savanna Fibre is available in Nairobi Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Lavington, Muthangari, Langata and Parklands, while its wireless internet option is available in Karen.
