Open Access Data Centres (OADC), a subsidiary of WIOCC Group, has acquired a portfolio of seven data centre facilities in South Africa from NTT DATA.
The transaction was advised by Verdant IMAP and includes strategically located facilities that form part of NTT’s South African data centre operations. The assets support enterprise, wholesale and cloud connectivity services, and play a key role in South Africa’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.
According to the parties, the acquisition strengthens WIOCC Group’s position as a multi-regional digital infrastructure provider.
OADC serves hyperscalers, content delivery networks (CDNs), network operators, ISPs and enterprise clients. It offers carrier-neutral data centre capacity across multiple markets.
The deal has received approval from the Competition Commission of South Africa.
Verdant IMAP acted as financial adviser to OADC. The firm noted that the transaction involved complex commercial, legal and structural negotiations, reflecting the scale typical of large digital infrastructure deals.
The acquisition marks Verdant IMAP’s fourth completed transaction for WIOCC Group.
