Westcon-Comstor Brings Meter’s Networking-as-a-Service to EMEA

Westcon-Comstor has signed a new distribution agreement with California-based Networking-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider Meter, becoming the company’s first distributor across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Meter delivers a vertically integrated networking solution that bundles hardware, software and managed services into a single subscription. Unlike traditional vendors that price based on individual devices, Meter’s model is based on site size.

Its platform runs on a single operating system powering switching, Wi-Fi, unified security and power infrastructure. The company positions this unified stack as ideal for distributed organisations such as retail chains, logistics operators and higher education institutions.

The service also includes co-managed deployment, ongoing support and lifecycle upgrades, reducing operational complexity for partners and customers alike.

By adding Meter to its networking portfolio, Westcon-Comstor is expanding its focus on recurring, margin-rich revenue streams for channel partners.

“Meter offers a fresh, simple and profitable approach to networking that directly addresses the needs of partners, while adding a new dimension to our networking vendor portfolio,” said Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Go-To-Market at Westcon-Comstor. “This is a true utility network model, perfect for the channel. The combination of Meter’s innovative technology and our value-added distribution capabilities will unlock growth potential for our partners across the entire EMEA region, enabling us to drive partner success in underserved markets.”

For channel partners, particularly in emerging markets, this model could be attractive. Many organisations face tight capital budgets but still need reliable, secure network infrastructure. A subscription-based approach lowers the barrier to entry while shifting spending from Capex to Opex.

Westcon plans to drive adoption through partner enablement programmes, training, data-led insights and lifecycle management services.

Networking-as-a-Service remains an evolving segment, but it aligns with broader enterprise trends:

“We are excited to bring our enterprise networking offering to the EMEA channel through our agreement with Westcon-Comstor,” said Adam Ulfers, Head of Sales and Channel at Meter. “Their channel reach, networking expertise and data-driven approach make them the ideal distribution partner to help us scale our presence and deliver our vision of simpler, more secure and more scalable networking to businesses across the region.”
