Infinix has officially launched the Note Edge in Kenya, making it the world’s first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s brand-new Dimensity 7100 5G chipset and running Android 16 with XOS 16 out of the box.
Unlike phones that chase short bursts of peak performance, the Note Edge is built around long-term reliability, battery endurance, and sustained everyday performance.
Priced from KES 32,999, the Infinix Note Edge brings premium design, AI features, and a longevity-first battery system into the midrange market.
At the heart of the Note Edge is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 (6nm). This is its first commercial appearance globally. The chip is tuned for consistent performance and efficiency rather than short-lived speed spikes. This makes it ideal for gaming, streaming, multitasking and long workdays.
Infinix is also positioning the Note Edge as a “long-life smartphone”, thanks to a self-healing battery system, long-term software support and its slim, premium curved AMOLED design
The phone runs Android 16 with XOS 16, complete with AI-powered tools for productivity, system optimisation and imaging enhancements.
Infinix has also committed to 3 major Android/XOS upgrades and 5 years of security updates.
Battery
One of the biggest talking points is the 6,150mAh self-healing battery.
Infinix says the battery actively repairs micro-damage during charging, allowing it to retain over 80% capacity after 2,000 full charge cycles. This translates to up to six years of everyday use.
Despite the massive battery, the Note Edge stays slim at 7.2mm and weighs around 185–190g.
Charging is handled by 45W fast charging, with support for bypass charging and 10W reverse wired charging.

Cameras
The Note Edge has single 50MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera, both capable of 2K (1440p) video recording at 30fps.
Rather than relying on multiple lenses, Infinix is leaning on software processing and AI imaging to improve clarity, colour, and low-light performance.
