Africa Data Centres has entered into a strategic collaboration with Wingu Africa, a leading provider of carrier-neutral, Tier III-standard data centres in East Africa. The partnership is set to create one of the most extensive digital infrastructure networks on the continent, linking key East African markets with Africa Data Centres’ established presence across the rest of Africa.

The collaboration connects Wingu Africa’s hubs in Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Tanzania to Africa Data Centres’ growing network across South, West, and Central Africa. The unified platform will allow enterprises, service providers and cloud operators to scale seamlessly across borders while maintaining the highest standards of security, efficiency and reliability.

Wingu Africa’s customers will now gain direct access to new markets without managing multiple service providers.

According to Demos Kyriacou, Deputy CEO, COO and Co-Founder of Wingu Africa, the move represents a significant milestone for East Africa’s digital ecosystem.

“By connecting our infrastructure with Africa Data Centres’ extensive network, we enable enterprises to operate across borders with the reliability and resilience they expect. It’s about making Africa’s digital economy easier to access, more predictable, and globally competitive,” Kyriacou said.

Adil El Youssefi, CEO of Africa Data Centres, noted that such collaborations are key to accelerating the continent’s digital transformation.

“Africa’s digital transformation depends on collaboration and scale. Partnering with Wingu Africa allows us to extend our reach into rapidly growing East African markets, giving our customers a stronger gateway into the region,” said El Youssefi. “Together, we are building a truly interconnected platform that supports innovation, investment, and inclusive growth.”

By linking two of the continent’s major data infrastructure providers, the partnership enhances Africa’s position in the global digital economy while reinforcing East Africa’s role as a hub for connectivity and innovation.
