Infinix has officially pulled the wraps off the GT 30 Pro, the third generation in its GT Series. For under KES 40,000, you’re looking at a phone that promises all-day high frame rate gaming, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and a bundle of gamer-friendly accessories that make it stand out in the crowded mid-range market.

    Key Specifications

    • Display: 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED, 144Hz refresh, 4500 nits brightness.
    • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor.
    • Memory: Up to 12GB RAM (expandable to 24GB with virtual RAM), 256GB or 512GB of storage space.
    • Cooling: 3D Vapor Chamber + MagCharge Cooler (Master Edition).
    • Controls: GT Trigger capacitive shoulder buttons, 2160Hz touch sampling.
    • Battery: 5500mAh, 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging.
    • Cameras: 108MP main + 8MP ultra-wide with a 13MP front-facing camera.
    • Software: XOS 15 based on Android 15. Gur=aranteed 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches.
    • Special Features: RGB “Mechanical Light Waves” design, AI-powered gaming tools, X-Haptics 4D vibration.

    Built for Gamers First

The GT 30 Pro isn’t shy about who it’s made for: gamers who want smooth, lag-free performance without the flagship price tag. The GT Trigger shoulder buttons give you console-style control right on the frame, while the optional Gaming Master Edition adds the MagCharge Cooler and MagCase to keep the device cool during long PUBG or MLBB sessions.

And yes, this phone has official 120FPS support for big-name titles like PUBG Mobile and MLBB, which is rare in this price segment.

    Design That Turns Heads

Infinix went full sci-fi here. The cyber-mechanical chassis with RGB “Mechanical Light Waves” gives it the kind of flair you’d expect from a gaming laptop, not a phone. Available in Shadow Ash, Blade White, and Dark Flare, it lights up in sync with your notifications, music, or even in-game kills. Subtle? Not at all. Fun? Absolutely.

    Beyond Gaming

Even if you’re not a gamer, the GT 30 Pro isn’t one-dimensional. The 108MP camera system handles everyday photography quite well, with built-in AI tools such as object removal and photo expansion. The 5500mAh battery ensures you’ll get through a full day, and wireless charging (still rare in this price tier) is a bonus.

Infinix is packing in AI features powered by DeepSeek R1 and Folax, including live call translation, AI wallpaper creation, and smart productivity tools like document summarization.

    Pros & Cons

    Pros:

    • Smooth 144Hz AMOLED display with TÜV eye protection
    • Gaming triggers and high FPS certification for top titles
    • Strong cooling system with optional accessories
    • Competitive price for the feature set
    • Wireless charging and bypass charging for gamers
    • Flashy RGB design that stands out

    Cons:

    • Bold design may be too flashy for some
    • Cameras, while versatile, won’t rival premium flagships
    • Long-term software support limited to 2 OS updates

    Price & Availability

The Infinix GT 30 Pro launches in Kenya at KES 39,999, with storage options up to 512GB.
