Vertiv is set to host its AI Solutions Innovation Roadshow in Egypt on August 20, 2025. The event will focus on high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and data centre readiness for Africa’s growing AI economy.
Vertiv has confirmed that its AI Solutions Innovation Roadshow will take place in Cairo, Egypt tomorrow (Wednesday, August 20, 2025). The event will be held at the Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo hotel.
The Cairo edition is part of Vertiv’s global series designed to equip customers, consultants, and partners with the expertise needed to deploy high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. Participants will gain insights on power and cooling requirements for AI workloads, energy efficiency, and innovations that enable sustainable and scalable data centre operations.
According to Vertiv, the Cairo event will highlight the “infrastructure imperatives” necessary to support AI adoption across industries. Presentations will cover power optimisation strategies, liquid and hybrid cooling readiness, and alternative energy solutions for data centres.
Wojtek Piorko, managing director for Africa at Vertiv, said the roadshow is part of the company’s long-term strategy to support Africa’s AI and data centre markets. “With the growing influence of AI and HPC on our industry, we understand the critical need to support our customers and partners with insights and technology that drive their success,” Piorko noted.

He added that the Cairo discussions will explore opportunities in Africa’s AI data centre landscape, redefining cooling for the AI era and assessing how enterprises in Northeast Africa are preparing for AI-driven infrastructure demands.
The event will feature senior Vertiv executives and regional specialists. Confirmed speakers include:
- Wojtek Piorko, managing director, Africa.
- Ehab El Hefnawy, regional director for Northeast Africa.
- Jon Abbott, technologies director, colocation and hyperscale for EMEA.
- Mostafa Ismail, field service lead engineer – thermal, Northeast Africa.
- Abdelfattah Hamdy, senior application engineer – AC power, Northeast Africa.
- Mohammed Abbas, technical support manager, Northeast Africa.
A panel discussion titled AI Data Centre Challenges: Meeting Performance and Efficiency Requirements will be moderated by El Hefnawy and feature contributions from Piorko, Abbott, and other industry specialists.
The Cairo event follows a similar roadshow that was held in Nairobi on the 17th last month.
Africa’s data centre market is projected to grow at double-digit rates over the next five years. This will largely be driven by cloud adoption, fintech expansion, and increasing AI deployment.
